I studied with an Apache/Yaqui/Anasasi mentor for awhile, when I lived in the southwest. On our first 1–1 appointment, she took one look at me and told me I needed to change my smudging habits. My “Guests” knew how to get around the standard sage, but would not know the way of things I now know are more resonant with HER (at least for me). For me, Palo Santo has been such a one. White sage mixed with sweet grass and lavender is another. I look forward to trying the dragon’s blood! Lovely!

Funny how we learned to stand in our ‘male side’, and ignore what has been there for us all along. As per HER usual… it comes when it comes and SHE knows when we are ready.
