My friend who lives in CT as well, made me laugh yesterday, relating how the neighborhood dogs looked exhausted because their humans were walking them incessantly, just to get out! She no longer has her canine, as I do not, nor you, and was walking anyway, receiving aghast looks from those with four-leggeds. Having walked that neighborhood myself many times, I know how hard it is not to interact with the dogs, and, to varying degrees, their humans.

One woman, with two black labs, always used to pause her walk to greet me, as her dogs had already vociferously done. We laughed, one day, at the conversations we had had, and the fact that we did not know each others’ names!

Aren’t we an odd species, though? Love to you. Your writing always makes me smile.
