My last scottish terrier, Roshini, used to lung after the deer, convinced they were jumping through portals into other dimensions. She begged to be let off the lead, or tried to drag me with her. My feet did not drag due to lack of wanting to join her. They were isimply heavy in the lush denseness of the woods.
She promised, that if she were to leap through, and "it was a good one" she would come back for me. I never quite trusted that enough to let her go. I truly wish I had. Who knows where we might be, now?
