The squirrel tribe in my neighborhood uses the back fence as their superhighway. They also use the hind leg dangle to pilfer from the bird feeders. One went for the hummingbird feeder one morning, only to gag and curl into a ball, plummeting towards the ground, catching itself on a lower branch. It then proceeded to tell me off something fierce. How dare I put out such horrible stuff?!

My favorite is the little visitor to my bedroom window. They run across the canted roof, under the windows, several times a day. This one, however, especially when I'm writing, peers in at me, puttin gone cautious little paw on the glass for balance. Adorable!

Your photos are superb. Thank you, Erika.
