“What was that about, sweetheart?” Betsy’s Godmother/Teacher had been telling a tale of listening, whether to intuition or to ego. She asked her littlest attendee again, “What is that about, sweetheart?”

“Holy Spirit.” Betsy replied, swinging her legs against the velvet sofa cover, too small as yet to bend the knee.

“No, dear, this is ego.” The voice was kind and loving but dismissive.
