Waking in Wonder

“Hello! Good morning! It’s a Day! Isn’t it the Best?!”

Wagging every inch of himself, her woof companion pushed open the bedroom door and pounced. Sun’s up! It’s a day! Another opportunity to play! Oh, and by the way, breakfast?

Full moon, not yet set. Sun still sliding its way above the mountain tops. Treetops glowing with hues of both summer and fall. Summer birds on the wing, winter birds arriving soon. When the geese arrive, en masse, we’ll know…

But today is a day! How glorious and full of adventurous portents!

Packed and ready. So little, to experience so much.
I envy the birds whose feathers carry them through winds, worlds, and wonders. No baggage, no mechanical assists, only the wonder they carry that lifts their wings.

Tea and woof treats. What a glorious way to begin.
Here, today, where the mountains cradle us,
another continent tomorrow, where we sing along with the sea.

“Sayonara,” she whispered, to the world left, for a time. Perhaps for all time, or out of time.

But, today is a day! Woofs and wiggles to all.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there…— Rumi

I am taking some time for myself, and intend to let wonder absorb me completely. I will write again soonish.

In the meantime, there is reading material aplenty in my earlier posts. You can find some of it here. My thanks to Regina Clarke for her interview, her interest and time taken.
